May Your Holidays Be Tender and Kind

May Your Holidays Be Tender and Kind

“Tenderness and kindness are not signs of weakness and despair, but manifestations of strength and resolution. -Kahlil Gibran

This year—one which provided too many opportunities to feel disappointment, dismay, and despair—may the holidays offer opportunities to create tenderness, kindness, joy and gratitude.

This year—one in which a dear friend departed this plane only days ago—I am reminded in an immediate sort of way that there is only today.

I am grateful to be alive, and to be able to think, and to speak, and to feel; the paradox of joy and sadness.

I am grateful for your loyal readership. Without your eyes, my words and this blog would remain silent thoughts; your eyes give them a voice.

May your heart be filled with peace, your home with love, your health with strength, and your life with resolve.

May we remember that each of us is important, and each of us has a thread to add to the web of life we weave together.

And may we weave peace.

Helping businesses build their people

When your people have the skills to communicate more effectively, they can connect more easily and collaborate more productively. Not only on the job, but also in life.

Communication, Connection, and Collaboration—the three “C’s”—are the cornerstones of all successful businesses. They are the result of Emotional Intelligence in action.

More details can be found in my recent best seller with co-author Jennifer Eggers:
Resilience: It’s Not About Bouncing Back

The power of resilience within organizations can transform an average company into a powerhouse. Yet, even in times of rapid disruptive change, there is no manual for building resilient organizations. This book is that manual.

“If you  want to build more resilience intentionally—personally and professionally—read this book.
